Seattle is home to 650,000 people, so there are plenty of fans ready to cheer on the newest NBA team. It has cool, wet winters and mild, dry summers. Seattle is already home to the Seahawks, an NFL team, and the Sounders, an MLS team. The Seahawks are known to be the loudest stadium in the NFL, so we know that the people of Seattle love their sports. The city also had an NBA team in the past, the Supersonics, but they relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008. The only reason that they left was because they needed a new stadium. The people of Seattle are hungry for an NBA team, and we will bring that. We chose the Steelhead Trout to be our mascot, as it is the state fish of Washington. Fishing is very important to the economy of Seattle, so we chose the Steelhead Trout as our mascot not only because it is an intimidating fish, but it represents the state of Washington.
